North American bred, raised and trained horses are succeeding in sport every day. Even though domestic Warmbloods and sport horses are consistently competitive among imported products, the perception of North American breeding remains as fractured as the registry landscape.
Most breeders are faced with a choice of suffering under poor brand perception verses a choice to promote multiple foreign interests. Many consumers are unable to find and identify the quality animals available domestically; therefore, they decide to support the import horse industry without ever looking at home.
The Continental Studbook is dedicated to supporting and developing the North American Warmblood and sport horse industry through promotion of a consistent breeding direction, promotion of the Continental Horse brand name, establishing relevance in the show system and giving breeders means to successfully market their products.
Breeders registering their foals in the Continental Studbook will have opportunities to use classifieds, sales lists and promotional materials; to advertise with farm links and website galleries; to utilize foal galleries and announcements; and to benefit from other online commerce tools.

The Continental Studbook announces to North American breeders that it has reserved promotional exhibit space in the Equine Village (formerly Equine Pavilion) of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The Equine Village is designed as a centralized location within the Kentucky Horse Park to house exhibits from various equine organizations, equine demonstrations and other special events.
The Continental Studbook is dedicated to promoting the North American bred horses for the sports of dressage, eventing, hunters and jumping. With the main stadium seating 30,000 spectators, other stadiums seating over 13,000 spectators and hundreds of thousands of tickets to be sold, the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are an unprecedented opportunity for the Studbook and its breeders to promote the brand name, Studbook services, breeder’s farms and North American horses to the avid sport horse industry.
Representatives of the Studbook will be on site for the entire duration of the games to meet with breeders in person, and innovative co-marketing ideas are being developed to distribute and display information on breeders, farms and foals in North America. More information will be provided to breeders as the promotional exhibit and plans mature.
